Brief cognitive strategic therapy is carried out in a course of between one and three sessions.
The therapy is usually spaced at weekly intervals and direct suggestions are given to the patient of ‘ homework’ to be carried out.

The person in therapy is given specific tasks to do in relation to their therapy and reports back at their next session.
